PLANET EARTH CART
The Planet Earth Cart, developed by Keep Sugar Land Beautiful, is a mobile cart stocked with fiction and non fiction books, games, videos, and hands on activities that may be incorporated into lesson plans by educators. All students and teachers in grades k-5 will be able to utilize this environmental educational resource. Environmental education encourages students to understand and appreciate their surroundings. One of our goals is to increase student awareness and in doing so help them develop lifelong habits that will improve and protect our environment. Planet Earth Carts are sponsored by area businesses, organizations, schools, or individuals and donated to local elementary schools. Current Donors include: Ben & Jerrys (Sugar Mill) Perry Homes (Mission Glen) Sugar Land Rotary (Lakeview) Sugar Land Garden Club (KSLB Office) W.C. Perry Properties (Lexington Creek) Fort Bend Baptist Academy Lamar Educational Awards Foundation (Frost, Huggins, & Dickenson) Fluor Corporation (Mission West and Ridgegate) Sugar Creek Garden Club (Dulles Elementary) Fort Bend Education Foundation (Arizona Fleming) Fort Bend Junior Service League (Colony Bend) Funding is needed for remaining public and private elementary schools in Fort Bend County. Keep Sugar Land Beautiful is aware that many corporations and organizations are dedicated to community improvement and education. We are excited about the Planet Earth Cart and look forward to working with you! Planet Earth Cart Sponsorship is a vailable for $1,500 (value $3,000).
