Earth Day Recycling Event

Keep Sugar Land Beautiful and the City of Sugar Land will host their 6th Annual Earth Day Recycling Event on Saturday, June 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Fluor Enterprises, Inc. parking lot, One Fluor Daniel Drive.

Items accepted include household electronic equipment, clothing and household items for reuse, eyeglasses and cases, documents for shredding, plastics (#1-7, excluding Styrofoam) and aluminum cans.

Clothing and household items will be collected for reuse in partnership with the Fort Bend Women’s Center for their PennyWise Center.  Eyeglasses and cases will be collected for the Lion’s Club “Recycle for Sight” program.

Shred It will be donating their resources to collect and shred documents. Document shredding will be limited to three office-type, paper-sized boxes.  There will be a $5 charge for each household electronic item recycled at the event.

The activities will be held rain or shine, with the exception of severe storms.
